If you haven't driven by the rapidly rising beautiful new Denison High School complex at the intersection of Highways 75 and 91 lately, you might want to do so! Situated on a high hill with panoramic views in all directions, the stately bones of the sophisticated new Smith Auditorium can now be seen rising above state-of-the-art classroom wings, athletic fields, cafeteria and administrative areas, where windows and sheet rock are currently being installed. "Our inaugural students who begin school at the new DHS complex in 2014 will experience firsthand the tremendous gift this community has given our children and our citizens," said Dr. Henry Scott, DISD Superintendent. "I honestly feel that our new high school will be the best in Texas…a great source of honor and pride for our entire community.">>see picture gallery
